Default oil return question

i was driving around in my other car today and was thinking about an easier way to make a oil return from my turbo.....i don't know if n/e one thought of this or did something like this before. i am currently working on my turbo setup and i don't wanna go through trouble drilling a hole on my oil pan....i have a oil cooler and i am thinking if its possible to dump my oil into my oil cooler...can anyone help with this idea...thanks

Default Re: oil return question (dave'sh22a4)

would not work, both the on and out lines from you oil cooler will be under pressure while the engine is running and would not allow the turbo to drain. Tapping the oil pan is easier than it seems though, its not hard to remove and replace and its pretty soft metal to drill through.
