I install my SMC+ with 450cc DSM injector. And i have a code 3. Before, when i had the First SMC. i had the code 3, so i think the problem is my MAP sensor or my throttle body because, i check and the exit from the throttle to the MAP sensor is loose and i can remove it?????
I try to refix it but i don't know if it's gonna be ok.
I have a throttle of teg 95 on my civic si 1990 intake. I know the current throttle is modify to fit on the intake. If i put a throttle of teg 90-93, Does the throttle will be fit on it or i will need to modify it like the other???
Thanks a lot.

I bet that the green wire on your SMC is just grounding out, and that overrides the map limiting feature in the SMC. So then your ECU will see positive manifold pressure and dump in assloads of fuel and throw code 3. At least that's what happened to me. Tape up the end of the green wire real good and reset your ECU, you should be in good shape then.

yes but, i can run 15 to 20 minutes without code 3, and sometime, i can run 5 minute and have 2 code.
I realise that when i shift more in high rev, i can the code. so i really doesn't know what to do???
What do you mean by grounding out??? you mean grouding on the chassis??
Can you explain me when you had your code??
Thanks

For the SMC+, just ask to ZIP on this board.

i'm going to try and cure this w/ the AFC hack setup and dyno tuning. and if it happens to the tech then hopefully they'll know how to fix it on the spot. I checked, re-checked, and checked again all the wiring to the blue box but it's all as GReddy says. so you're not alone w/ your code 3 problem.

no the SMC use the stock map sensor and modify the signal. So you can run with large injector and without a ECU code 3.
Did someone can tell me if a throttle of teg 90-93 fit on intake of civic 90 si without any modification??

Well, yes and no. At the stock position, on the trottle body, it cannot sense boost with a JRSC. UNLESS you have the little boost sensing convertor plate that comes with the JR MAP controller. If you don't have this, and your MAP is in the stock location, your SMC will not function properly.
You have to make a block off plate to cover the hole on the throttle body because you have to remove the MAP sensor. Once the MAP sensor is removed and the hole covered, run a vac hose from the JR manifold to the map sensor and use a zip tie to secure it. Then zip tie the sensor itself to a stiff hose or other secure location.
See, for a JRSC, the throttle body doesn't see boost. So you have to bring the boost to the sensor.

I don't have a JRSC.
Like i said, i discover that my little exit from th throttle to the map, is loose. Maybe this can give me a CEL 3???
I i want to know if a TB of TEG fit on a manifold of civic 1990 si without modification???
thanks
