Oil Return placement, right or wrong spot?
i'm getting my oil pan welded tonight and want to make sure it's in the correct place. i made a circle where i want it welded

It looks fine from here but you really need to consider where the turbo places the drain tubes. You want gravity to work with the draining effect. Try to place the drain so that the drain tubes go as vertical as possible. You could move the hole over to the left so more and it would be OK.
It's nice that these motors have a baffle on the block as opposed to the pan like on D-series.

Yeah that D-series baffle is a pain to deal with. I ended up going underneath it with my tap.
As long as you don't have a flat run of more than a few cm's you wil be OK.

here is the inside of the pan
the turbo isn't going on till saturday and i'm having this welded so it's ready for saturday, so i really can't do a test fitment

my tube is straight and not angled like that
