Default Oil return line question

i have a greddy turbo kit and wanted to replace my oil return line. Its that crappy rubber one. I tried calling a couple auto parts store for oil lines but most say they dont have anything larger than 1/2". Greddy told me that the ID of the line is 19mm or 3/4". Is heater hose or any other hose able to carry oil or is there a real big difference between those hoses?

Make sure you get hose that can withstand a lot of heat and pressure! You don't want it melting or failing on you!

Better yet, just pick up a stainless steel drain kit from fast-turbo.com

There is no pressure at all.

You need to ask for an oil rated hose. NAPA carries a red universal hose that is oil rated.

The blue silicon EGR repair hose that many auto parts stores carry in 1/2" 5/8" and 3/4" works very well and happens to be the exact same brand and hose that some turbo companies sell as an oil return. 5/8" is only $7 a foot at my local Carquest.

Stans return line kits are definitely one of the best options but cost several times more. Ask him about the push lock hose which is cheaper, easier to assemble and works well.
