Default oil return line..HELP!!!!! (pics attached)

ok, so here's my problem

the guy who did my turbo install last year, didnt do it right. it fried my turbo off (dont care), and this year i did a new del sol up, eagle rods/je pistons/rings/valves/etc etc...

right now, running 8lbs of boost.

im not driving the car right now, cuz i know the car isnt right at all.... i know this return line is wrong and i dont wanna fry my garrett gt35r....

so, any suggestions appreciated on what to do about this oil return. please, no smart *** comments. i didnt do this work, but im smart enuff now to know it's wrong before i do any damage.

it really doesn't look that bad at all. as long as the return line isn't going UPWARDS, since its a gravity feed.

you MIGHT be able to change the blue fitting on the oil pan to a 45 degree fitting, which i think would make the entire line flow down, instead of leveling out at the end

Your pictures are a tad big, and a tad blurry. The only thing I could possibly pick out was a possible kink in the top picture?

I vote for 5/8" hard line with -10AN tube sleeves and nuts.

I agree shorted the line and add a 45 degree fitting, to make it at more of a down angle towards the pan, and of corse fix any kinks their might be.

Shorten the line by wrapping it with tape first then cutting it at the desired length then reinstall the fitting.

It doesn't look that bad at all. It looks similar to my return and It's been that way for almost 3 years.

as long as your line entering your pan is the lowest point your fine sometimes with chargepipes and such they have to be run in a weird way

the last few inches of the line run parallell to the earth..not "down"...

so im gonna see if i can find a 45 degree tomorrow and see what i can do, if anything..

i may have to reverse how my turbo sits ....that'll be fun and a half....ugh....

any other suggestions?

also, my concern is that this may not be letting oil out fast enuff. hence why the last turbo's seals blew up.

this turbo is fine for a few days, now, a SMALL touch of smoke out the tail pipe...not entirely blue, but i dont wanna let it progress (parked the car till i fix it).

dont feel like blowing up a gt35r :\

Id get the 45degree and try to shorten it.

As long as its running towards the bototm of the car, with no links and no upward changes in direction, then the oil return line isnt your problem.

How are you sure that it's your problem anyway?

im sure it's my problem, cuz my last turbo was blue smoking from day 1, and got progressively worse.

i got this turbo from JRP with restrictor (which is ON the turbo..should it be ON the turbo, or at the oil feed adapter??)

and there was no blue smoke for a few days. yesterday i noticed a LITTLE, so i shut the car down and parked it till i figure out whats up.

the restrictor can be anywhere on the line going to the turbo. It restricts the flow of everything after it.

Have you unplugged the oil return line to make sure oil is making its way out of it?

so i pulled the oil return line off. there was a good chunk of oil that bled down from the line itself once removed..

so i really dont think it was draining right

got some new fittings coming in the next day or so...i hope it works.

i ordered another bung also as i have another oil pan..gonna do a slight upward angle on the bung..

wish me luck..any other help appreciated.
