So i got around to welding my return fitting on my oil pan and then i put a cap on it until i get everything on and running. just one step out of the way. but my concern is that if i take the cap off oil comes gushing out of the fitting. the car is just to the full line on the dipstick and the fitting is as high as it can be and still allow another fitting to be attached. I'm concerned that this will back up the oil in my turbo and cause blown seals. Anybody have a good pic of where they have their fitting mounted and how long its been like that without problems?
When the motor is running, much if the oil is actually coating the inside of the motor... and the level drops. You'll be ok as long as the fitting is close to the top of the pan.
