Oil pump: LS, GSR, ITR all the same? High boost application...
I have a 98 LS which is being prepped to run at least 15 psi and I have heard that the LS, GSR, and ITR oi pumps are all the same. If this is true, then it makes no sense to upgrade to one of these(GSR or ITR) correct? Furthermore, will the stock LS oil pump do the work, or do I need to go aftermarket, such as Toda?
Thanks.
Thanks.

I would stick with an OEM GSR oil pump. I don’t think the Toda oil pump gear is worth the money imo.

LS pump will be fine.
There is a place, maybe Benson or something where you can send your OEM pump and they do a bunch of sheit to it, like shim the pump so it flows about 10psi more than normal and they do a few other things too, like englarge/chamfer some of the ports. If I remember right it's like $150 plus shipping.

"ALL 96+ integra pumps are the same ls/gsr/hype r go check the part numbers. Also including b20's" quoted from boostedej1

I keep finding conflicting arguments on the subject.

After doing more research all OBD2 oil pumps have the same part number like stated above. OBD1 oil pumps are different however between GSR and LS
