Default Oil pressure help

HI. I am wondering what the range is regarding oil pressure. For examaple, when I first had the turbo put on my car, the oil pressure hardly ever went over 50 (mid way) on oil pressure guage even if I was under boost. Now though, even if I am driving in 3rd at 45mph, my oil pressure is just over mid way before I go into boost. Is this normal? I just checked my oil yesterday and added 1 1/2 quarts since hte turbo was put on which was about 3 weeks ago....any info thanks.

I don't think that you should use the oil pressure gauge to monitor your oil level. I am not sure if you are, but that is what I got from your post. As far as the pressure goes(assuming you have a B18C from your name) mine is usually close to 50psi by 3000rpms and I will get a little more pressure in the higher rpms. I am sure you are fine.

you shouldnt have to add that much oil after installing a turbo.. unless you never filled it all the way up after the install.

does the turbo smoke at all? any signs of oil leakage on/around the turbo>
done a compression test lately>
