Default oil pan question help for d16

does anybody know if a 92-95 ex oil pan will fit a 00ex??? thanks, i need a oil fitting and the one i got is welded in the old oil pan? any suggestion about this? im planning on putting the turbo this week... thanks again

I don't see why not. it is essentially the exact same engine.

I've HEARD they are swapable but I have never compared the two to see if it would bolt up. One thing I can tell you is that the 96-00 D16 oil pans are aluminum and not steel like previous years. That's why you can't have oil return flanges welded to them (unless the flange is aluminum as well). But the aluminum oil pan is better beacuse it disapates heat considerably better then steel. It's up to you which one to use. Keep in mind that drilling through the aluminum oil pan is a cinch too.
