Someone at the website BOBISTHEOILGUY posted a link to the best pics I've seen of the insides of different brands of oil filters. There are several pages, so 56k will take a while. At the end, the guy included pics of Toyota's unique design. Very strange looking!

I thought you guys would be interested in this. The bottom line is, don't use Honda's Fram filter. I don't think you can get the USA Honda Filtech any more, so go with one of Champion's filters (Bosch, K&N, Mobil1, etc.) I know everyone already knows this from previous tests, but these pics convinced me even more.
Mobil 1 filters might be too restrictive after they become used, which would allow it to be in bypass mode more often. I personally use the K&N, which can't filter particles as small as the Mobil 1, but flows much better. Someone on that forum is going to test the flow of the filter material on the Bosch vs. K&N's. You can't go wrong with either one, but K&N is so easy to remove!

hmm..seems like maybe its the filters in canada..although that would be stupid..i have some of my old ones in my garage..i should hack em open
