Default Turbo install prep...

Im looking at FINALLY installing my custom kit in about a months time!!! FINALLY!
any tips, advice etc on the install?
ive got my parts.(just need a few misc htings like clamps etc).
any help and info is welcome

dont forget t's for vacume lines get more than a couple....get some vacume hoses, teflone tape, oil, extra oil pan with oil fitting welded on will also save u time. Dont forget the oilpan gasket.

ive been thinking about the 24 pack of dr pepper..i was gonna get some beer buy i might do it HT style with some dr p.
ill have a week to install it!! (ie: i have another car to use for a week)

IMO, 24pack of redbull! have friends help out and double check the setup....and dont leave any tools under the hood, i hate when that happens

Nothing helps more then a good friend (in my case it was my dad)

Things to remember: Extra fittings for fuel clamps, hose clamps, etc etc
-Extra Vac T's
-Exhaust Manifold Gasket
-Honda bond for oil pan
-Oil pan gasket
-a good work light/snake light
-Oil for your engine (after the install)

As far as priming the turbo, all I did was put some oil in the inlet and spun it a couple times by hand. (I have been taught not to touch the turbine blades, because the oil from your hands is actually enough to cause a hot spot. Then again, it might have just been Cummins being cautious)
You will want to prime the turbo feed line by turning the car over with the coil wire, or plug wires off until oil comes out. (about half a quart.)

if u get really excited and impatient like i did the night before fedex got all my parts to me, take off ur exhaust manifold, and downpipe to cat, drain oil, remove oil pan, etc. not only can you troubleshoot rusted or stubborn bolts/nuts in advance, but it also cuts down on the time it will take you to install. i also read up on the install so many time befores i had all my parts that i pretty much went straight to putting everything on the second it got in and finished ~6hrs later. good luck with your install
