hello, this is my first turbo honda.

i just finished my first swap.

d16a6-d16a6 turbo.

upon hooking everything up, and cranking it without the ecu to build oil pressure, i started it up.

it revved up to 2500 rpm, and was idling at 3k

i took apart the fitv, and iacv and cleaned it up good with carb cleaner, then used some liquid gasket with the iacv and put it all back together.

this time, i started it without the iacv plugged in, and it idled normally, then of course the cel. i reset the code, and plugged it back in. the car idles at 1500-1700 rpm, but a little erratic. so far that is the least of my problems...

all throughout, i noticed some smoke, and when i checked it out, i found oil in the downpipe

this cant be good, i know, but i dont know what the problem is. the turbo has about 3000kms after a rebuild, and i am running an oil restrictor from atp turbo.

t3 turbo, 3 an ss line, with restrictor. vented cusco catch can, lines coming from vc, and black box. wtf. any help is MUCH appreciated.

Can you get a pic of the return line? It's not kinked, is it?

this is a guess, but could it be the turbo seals?

 

i hope not...
