oil in compressor?
i just got done installing my drag kit for my gsr the other day. it was boostin fine but the bov never releived any pressure. when i took it to 8000 rpm by accident, i blew the cuppling off the compressor. this caused a little shaft play. now that i got a softer bov spring, it releives a bit of pressure, not all the way. however my full boost engages later and turbo does not pull as strong, rpm doesn't even raise fast anymore. i didn't cover the intake but after a long drive i find dark liquid around my intake hole. i see no oil leak but do smell oil from the leaks i've had before, (return and feed) is this bad? oil levels read above full @ 4.5 quarts. could it be just water? any suggestions why not boosting right.

if the charge piping blew off and you were on it hard.. then you have overspun the turbo damaging the bearings, which explains the shaft play... as for the oil leaking.. drain the oil to 4 quarts. chances are the oil level in the pan is above your return causing it to back up

f*ck!!! i know this is bad but it's a f*ckin new turbo. it all happened cause the bov never open to releive any pressure. should there be a warranty on this thing?? mine's don't even come with a serial number. it's very little shaft play, i'm hoping it's dirt on the compressor cause i didn't cover the compressor and it is quite cold outside, hoping it's not oil leaking through the turbo. it also doesn't make sense why oil would leak out, it's suckin in. they'll be hearing from me. (cheap drag kit!!!)
