Oh...$h!t :/
So today is the first time in 1 YEAR thst I finally finished my turbo setup :/, but now I'm left with one question, which is;
I have a Garrett .42/.48 t3 turbo, some people are familiar with it. BUT, here goes,
there is a vacuum line from the wastegate actuator(stock) to a nipple/elbow right at the turbo cold air discharge(the part of the cold housing which is connected to charge pipes). I thought that you are supposed to tee that vacuum line from the wastegate actuator into a vacuum line... Is that correct?, andd if it is, what then do you connect the other nipple/elbow to? Thanks

you can either hook the wastegate to the compressor housing (nipple on the cold side) or you can plug the nipple and run a vaccuum line from the intake manifold (or any vaccuum source) . The difference whether you want the wastegate to read pressure at the compessor housing or if you want it to read pressure after the intercooler. Ive heard people argue both as to which is better but i dont think it really matters that much. If you run a vac line from the mani then the wastegate will react to the pressure that the motor is actually getting, thats why i like that way better.

yeah, that sounds true, but then what do you do with the open elbow? AND, when the car is off, do you adjust the wastegate to be completely closed or halfway open as to not overboost?
