Hit me up if you get an M62 blower. I want to check it out. I'm curious what the charge temps look like.
I never got my old setup dynoed but, I felt like it pulled harder than my 1.8T Dub.

i like the idea of a supercharger, but they never seem to make that great of numbers. I know it can be done, but it's just harder I think. Plus, no intercooling is scary. (at least not easily with roots type.)

ok...
it's not a sc vs turbo vs na thread, so please don't start it. no offense, but thats what somebody always tries to do in the sc threads.
sc a car is fun. there great for everyday driving and reliable as hell.
end of story. please do not respond to this post, because it will in turn ruin this thread.

Re: (JICEK9)
I'm seriously considering doing a JRSC setup on my current car.
I currently have a d16z6 installed in my 1990 hatch. I really want to keep AC and love the simplicity of a supercharger, plus I autocross a lot and I'm sure it would help.
I love turbo and would rather go that route, but it takes a lot to keep AC with a turbo EF. It has been done, but a JRSC would be sooo much easier.
I just wish I could do a JRSC setup for as cheap as I can build a turbo setup.

Re: (EJ1 wilcox)
yeah, sc can be a really a simple setup, in comparison to turbos I love the idea of sc for many reasons, smog legal, less mess, no leaksther then oil, not alot of maintainece from what i understand. Yeah thanks for keeping this thread on track. we dont need another stupid turbo vs supercharger vs na argument. I know it seems you where not trying to start an argument but we would like to make it clear that this thread should and will stay argument free, and hater free.
oh and you can get a great price on a used setup. I got mine for $650 and that included the stock pulley, and boost upgrade, and all kinds of other stuff.

Re: (8atman)
I too love that sound... a friend of mine had his b16 supercharged in his eg hatch. It was a ton of fun, he had it up around 12 psi i think. All i know on the highway, it was so nice to pass people. Plus at 12 psi, and 8000 rpm, that whine was beatiful, i don't have any on video unfortunatley. Good luck to all the superchargers just please tune it lol, my friend blew his ringlands twice on the shitty jackson racing FMU crap. He went turbo, kinda wish he hadn't now that i've learned and accumulated all the tools to tune.

I had no issues when I was supercharged other than the belt slipping from time to time. Did California Speedway with Redline Track Events on a 100 degree day. No problems.

Re: (8atman)
Nice thread...
I made 146whp and 118wtq on my old SC setup, 6psi and JR Map controller on a D16Y8.
It was a fun setup, it made for a great daily driver. If I run into some extra money I'll probably put one on my DD.

stock honda fit with wheels and coilovers.

Re: The Official SOHC Supercharger thread... (STREETWERKZ)
Damn, 160 on 5 is not bad at all.
I went turbo cuz I don't have the money to support a 200whp supercharger setup, that and my EK needs a bit of oomf to get it's fat *** going.
