I know it doesn't have anything to do with Honda's, but I just took my stock turbo (garrett T25) out of my Eclipse GSX, and I don't know how to tell if it has shaft play. I plan to sell it (if its worth anything), but I want to be able to tell if it has shaft play or not. If you have any knowledge about the topic, let me kno - TY (sorry its not about civics).

 

pretty much all you do is grab a hold of the shaft and see if it has any play in it. a little is normal but if you have play to where the wheel is scrubbing the housing yoiu have some issues

 

^^^ agreed grab hold and move it up and down. then try to move it in and out. that should tell you
