Default occational boost= Check engine light and high idle

I have a turbo which was installed last week. My question is this. Sometimes when I boost up to about 4-9 psi my check engine light comes on. Before I do this my car idles at about 500 rpm. After it's about 1100rpm. I mean I can drive it like it wasn't turbo and the light won't come on. It happens everytime I drive it and put some serious spool on the turbo. Any clue what this could be? I was thinking something along the lines of the MAP sensor reading too much air. Or there oxygen sensor is screwed. I have not clue. Please advise. Thanks

what kind of fuel management are you using?

um well it's very sufisticated. I am running a piggy back managment system connected to the stand alone AEM. Acutally I was just bullshitting. I don't have any fuel managment. They ( the garage that hooked the turbo up) said they remapped the fuel. Whatever that means. Let me know what you think now. The light even comes on a 4 psi sometimes.

You're going to have to pull the code before you can even guess on what's happening. A blind guess might be something like rich/lean condition, or maybe map related.

sounds like you need a missing link....

if you don't have engine management at all, there's no way to change the fuel maps. hope you have an fmu at least

If your Map sensor reads 7.5PSI or over it will throw a code and pulse the injectors. This will make the idle higher. You need bigger injectors and a tune or at least an FMU for now.

yeah you need a missing link...but what codes are you throwing, I wouldn't blind guess on something like that. But yeah I would think something air/fuel related too. I get codes thrown all the time but its cause of the air/fuel mix that I'm running according to my OBD scanner.
