OBX LSD Users Only
I'm also wondering that. I've been searching the archives lately, but have come up with nothing. I thought there was a detailed walk thru with pics on torquing and tightening the OBX LSD.
[QUOTE=StreetEG]can someone give a full explanation of how they rebuild their obx before they put it in?
Where do you get the torque specs from?
What fluid do they use?
Any bolts need replacing?
Loctite?
Yea i took out the allen bolts, Brake cleaned them, Put red loctite and put them as tight as i could by hand without stripping the allen bolts, and i use straight 30weight oil nothing special, ive used MTL but i had a leaky axle seal so i fixed that and went with regular straight 30 and i dont notice any differnece

1. Are you satisfied with the performance?
2. If you experienced problems with your OBX LSD, was OBX or the seller willing to honor the warranty of the product and replace or repair the product?
3. If you were in the market for another LSD would you purchase the OBX LSD or purchase another brand LSD such as Quaife?
Your sincere response is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

get one and if all goes well then i will get one on my lude
i just did one for a buddies car, haven't ran it yet but assembly wise i can share some.
First off the bolts weren't torqued, as usual. upon dissassembly i found a grease like coating on the internals that had the consistansy of valve lapping compound. the washers were placed like )())((. And it made some loose noises when it was shaken.
So i reassembled it per other peoples specs on here with some assembly lube also. And it seemed to tighten everything up, loctite on the allen heads and ring gears bolts, washers like this ()()() and i guess we'll see what happens in the next couple weeks when the car comes out
