just the pass. axle issue
3. If you were in the market for another LSD would you purchase the OBX LSD or purchase another brand LSD such as Quaife?
i think i would go with a quaife and use the obx as a back up.

</TD></TR></TABLE>

Why would you go with a Quaife if you were in the market for another LSD?

ive got one in my 405whp d-series and i love it...i have had ZERO issues with it including the axle thing...it helped a ton in cornering and it was the single biggest thing i did in order to get traction from my turbo setup.

i would buy one again i loved it! got mine from sparktec as well...cheapest place to get it from lol

1. Yup. 12.77 on street tires at street pressure says it all. It just hooks so much better.

2. No problems so far except it's noisy, but that's probably because I didn't shim it or change the bearings. Tranny needs a rebuild anyway...

3. I couldn't afford a Quaife regardless.

I run one and love the thing..1.5 sixty foots and over 600,700,800 whp thrown at it over 3 years!! I finaly broke a axle which hurt the lsd a little but the new one under warranty will be here soon...even if they dont cover it..I will still buy another..

Did you remove the stock shim? If not does your case leak fluid?

for those of you with positive results from OBX, are you just using the lsd right out of the box installed, or are you modifying them in any way?

from me for this lsd, didnt really improve my 60 or 1/4 time much, but i dont hav eto worry about shattering a spider gear anymore now. i took mine straight out the box, had a speedo gear and bearings pressed on it and threw it in the tranny. no axle problems with this one, but i will be pulling it apart over the winter just to check everything in it. when i put it in it was a rush situation. i have owned a quaife and they didnt cover a problem under warranty so i will never buy another one again. obx all the way, same product and 1/2 the price

Very good and informative thread.

I guess I'll see how it handles 630whp/411ft lbs of torque.
