IS an O2 simulator needed for obd2 with high flow cat?
Just wondering if an O2 simulator is needed if I plan to run a high flow cat?
I'm thinking that I do because when I went to the muffler shop today to ask about my cat. they said my car needed an OBD2 compatible cat. Is this true?
Or could just get the high flow cat. and weld on a bung for the O2 sensor and not get any CEL codes?
Help me out please turbo going in soon

yes an o2 simulator is needed to keep from throwing the CEL. BUT there is a jerry rigged way to do it and that is to wrap aluminum foil around the o2 sensor tip where it reads from. BUt that is not reliable i would go with the O2 simulator for $50 it is worth it.
