Default not boosting any more....

my friends 99 si with drag3 kit on it went into limp mode when the o2 was covered in black carbon deposits from running so rich...It was consistantly runnnig 6 psi and after we took out the o2 today cleaned it up and started it up again with new plugs also its not boostingabove 1 or 2 psi any ideas we cant find a leak anywhere and all vacume lines are connected BOV is working properly...im stumped

hmm .. were the plugs gapped properly? Maybe you should just buy a new O2 Sensor? Did you reset the ECU?

uhhh plugs are NGK v power only ones they had gapped to .044 have some denso iridiums dont know what to gap em at so didnt put em in.... anything wrong with .044??? we reset the ecu the O2 was fine it was still working code 61 slow to respond if u were covered in carbon ud be slow to respond also any help s apreciated

44 is a little large for a turbo car with stock ignition. try .030

My NGK's were gapped at .032 .. try that, hopefully it should fix the problem.

i duno about it being to wide in my integra manual teh b17 gap is .039-.043 so i dont think its gap is doin it

ok ill do that for him hopefully they stock the plug and hope it fixes it my friend is upset that its not boosting
