sounds like a blown head gasket or a bad radiator cap. if the block has floating sleeves or bores IE open deck even with posting its entirely possiable the gasket went bad.

Re: not again wtf!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Hella_JDM)
mine starting doing the same thing, turns out one of my head studs pulled out of the block under high boost, blew head gasket. Would only overheat when I nailed it. Now I have to send the block off to get the stud hole fixed. O well time to sleeve it anyway.

Re: not again wtf!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (speedworks)
Either a warped mating surface or a crack in the head/block if the head was installed properly to the block...

my problem was the same as yours. i changed my headgasket like 3 times until i finally sent it to the machine shop. told me my head was warped, now, no problems at all. check it out.

I'd also use a stock Honda HG, they seem to work out alot more for people than the Cometic ones do. Golden Eagle has OEM HG's in any bore size.

Re: not again wtf!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Hella_JDM)
Im going to explain your problem.
The head or block mating surface is not flat.
Fix it when you pull the motor apart again.
simple
you could have blown the headgasket by going lean, or by going too rich!

BTW in case you weren't aware already. Aluminum blocks tend to warp wth age, and abuse. The older Honda's were notorious for this sort of thing. Especially the D15A3's.

Straight edge and feeler gauge is all you need, although I forget what thickness is within spec.

Just curious if you have a block gaurd in your block. Cause i have had the same problems in the past. when i replaced the gasket i couldnt even tell where it was blown, but a new one fixed the problem. I think mine is warping just enough for it to seep because of inadequate cooling at top of sleeves and head. Damn block gaurd sack of FK^%$#%^ing S#$T. This will be my sixth time pulling the head on my car. But i doesnt top my 9 tranny pulls.

Re: (BoostedD15B7)
Just outta curiosity, how do you know its not your tune? or a injector that isn't flowing as good as the rest? low boost level means nothing if it wasn't tuned properly. I am surprised knowbody has chimed in on that yet. Just giving you another view. Good luck.

Whenever I pull apart a motor I bring it to the machine shop so they can check to see if it is true. It's just not worth ****** around with. It only costs like $15-$25 to get it resurfaced (kind of like a flywheel). They should be able to do it with the drivetrain in it also, just make sure
When you first put the head back together, the gasket was most likely kind of filling that gap even though the head wasn't tight against the block and then it just let go. Good luck!
