Normal? S200 question
I installed my S200 last week. I am limited to ~4,000 RPM and can't boost a single PSI. I originally thought these were built in safety features that can be changed when at the dyno, but I wanted to make sure nothing is wrong with the unit before I went to the dyno.... The blue box LED is blinking (not solid) and I have a solid CEL... And I can't connect to the blue box with my laptop. Any thoughts on this?? Would this happen if the ROM didn't have a map on it? I still dont know if there was ever a base map put onto the ROM. I sent the ECU to Hondata to have everything installed...
Thanks guys.

IF the led is not solid, something is definately wrong, very possible that there is no base map on the rom or possibly it's even installed backwards, other factors also. First contact who u got the s200 from and see if a base map was programmed on the rom. Take it a step at a time, i'm pretty sure with honda-tech to help you, we'll get the problem solved. Paul

Dead CEL (check engine light with no code), 4K revlimit, and she cuts out/stutters at transition into boost so you don't boost at all? It's called limp home mode.
Either your program is so screwed up it can't load, or there is somthing wrong with the chip install. Time to call tech support, it isn't user error. Hondata's a good company, they should have things straightened out shortly.

I dont mean to hi-jack your thread, but you may wanna try my boost chip. Its much cheaper and doesnt have alot of the problems hondata has. My chip has less features but it gets the job done and saves you $$$ Check my sig for details.

Re: Normal? S200 question (UberTeg)
I am having the same problem as you, along with at least one other guy. Tried a couple of chips but no luck. On a sidenote I did dry one of Uberteg's chips and it worked badass without any tuning...

Another new Hondata problem....I am seeing a trend.
I am having a similar prob, but not the same. A flashing LED indicates the S200 is not communicating with the ECU properly.

Re: Normal? S200 question (Sleepin')
Don't jump the gun just yet boys. I have a feeling the chip is just blank, that maybe it was sent to me with no base map. It's running in limp mode and the Hondata can't connect to the ECU. These signs both tell me that the ROM is probably just blank.
Next week I am going to my dealer to have a base map burned and I'll take it from there. I'll keep everyone posted.

Well it turns out the ROm was blank. Once I got it to the dealer, we burned a map and it worked fine. Thought I'd give everyone the update.

Re: Normal? S200 question (TheShocker)
i had the am probem actually... BUT my problem was I fucked up the interface cable (wire that goes into the ECU).. When I cosed the top of my ECU I smashed the wire by screwing the lid on to tight
