Hondata basics help
I need help understanding some of this. I've got my pocket programmer hooked up to my ecu and to my computer with my new s200 system. All I want to do is download the map that I am running and save it on my computer. I thought the map was on the eeprom? When the pocket programmer is hooked up to the ecu in emulator mode the chip is not plugged in, so how am I supposed to get the map onto the computer? Is the map stored in the blue box too? Also, with the v3 romeditor do I even need the software that comes with the PP? Can I put my eeprom in the programmer and then get the map off the eeprom that way? I have tried to find this info in the Hondata documentation but it's written for 2.5 romeditor. Am I missing something? If anyone can tell me what I'm doing wrong I would appreciate it. This is getting very frustrating.

Re: Hondata basics help (justinCO)
to save the rom image that is on the chip:
1. open the programmer software
2. put the chip in the programmer
3. click on "move device"
4. the image will be moved to the "buffer"
5. click on save buffer
6. name the file and save to where you can find it
