Is this normal?
I just dropped my turbo kit into my LS not too long ago. I thought everything was good to go. It pulled nicely, no check engine light, no boggin etc. Then after about 700 miles or so my check engine light came on, and when i was driving one of my pipes connecting to my intercooler popped off as well. Once I connected that back together and double checked all possible loose connections, I noticed my car didn't pull as hard anymore. I barely feel any boost in first, and dont feel anything until around 5k in 2nd gear. Will a standalone engine management surely fix this? Or does it have something to do with breaking it in?
first off everyone is going to tell you "yes" a better fuel management will help. However may or may not fix the problem. Depends on what the problem is.
second, there is no break in period.

cool thanks...yea i've been told that the stand alone will fix it . But not sure if its a ECU problem for sure.
Also, I didnt think there was any break in period either but the reason for me thinking so was b/c i originally had a deltagate mark2. I installed a Tial wastegate a few weeks ago and felt a difference but then it later declined and the car was back to its "weak" state.
Hopefully this week i'll drop the standalone in and see if it fixes everything.
Thanks for the input.

yea but I have not counted boost leak out as a possibility either.
Its just annoying driving a car with a lot of low end bogging and equally annoying back pressure.
I guess I will just wait until get the stand-alone installed.

I'd say even though you double checked it...go ahead and pull off all the piping again and check all of the connectors over and over and over to make sure there's not a crack or something in one of them and then take a super long time to put it all back together

Well yesterday when i was checking my pipes once again I found oil leaking from my BOV and found oil in my charge pipe. I was told this is due to a blown/worn oil seal?</TD></TR></TABLE>
you are correct. your turbo is officially fried...it's time to get a new one.
