noob question
im just now gettin into the boost stage and i have a a very important question. if you just get a turbo kit or piece one together and put it on, how would it work? by this i mean with no engine management or anything. and if i am going to go turbo what do i need to do as far as turboing it (engine management wise or anything of that nature). basically, im just trying to figure out how to get my car boosted. its an ls b18a1 in an eg hatch if that helps. thanx in advance and please flame away if it eases the pain.

Re: noob question (DAteglover912)
easy and most reliable dont go hand in hand ?I would say that these are the best options in this order
full engine mangement with tuning injectors and bigger intank pump
chipped ecu with bigger injectors and bigger intank
fmu with missing link and inline fuel pump
Hope this helps

You don't need Hondata because that is expensive. I know a lot of people say don't go Uberdata but you could go Uberdata cause its free or crome. Both good programs. For injectors its really dependent on your hp goals. You could used DSM 450cc injectors with a resistor box (good to around 300 hp) or get something like RC550's or 750's if you want like 300+ hp. Your choice. For fuel pump I would go with a Walboro 255 fuel pump.
You will have to get your obd1 ecu chipped and get a base map which will allow you to turn you car on and drive it a bit but soon after start up a good street or dyno tune is key to good performance and safe operation.
