Default nitrous detnation problem

i just installed a 75 shot wet kit (nitrous express) the fuel jet is a 24 and the nitrous jet is a 41... its an ls/vtec with jdm itr pistons and a stock 98 jdm itr head... im using one step colder plugs (bkr7e ngk) and have always ran 93 oct but i am havin detnation problems... and the ignition timing is all the way retarted

do you think it would be best to up the fuel jet, adjust the fuel presure regulator to flow more fuel (idk if that would help because the jet will only alow so much fuel) run another step colder plug

it runs smoth untill vtec enguages than it starts to detnate, i pulled a few plugs and they looked like they had salt and pepper on them and they were brand new before i ran the nitrous

any help is much appreciated

I think for 75 shot nos u need to retard timing by 4 degrees, make sure that is the case. I think you will be fine with those plugs im sure i used Bkr7e-11 when i nossed.
Im not sure about the jet numbers you are using. But with a wet shot i dont think you should be worrying about fuel, its probably your timming that is out.

What are you using to retard ignition?

I never liked those plugs in a nitrous car. I use zfr7e-11 gap at 25-30.

I would check your timing with a timing light. set it about 12-13*. You might of retarded your timing to much.

i believe u dont need a wideband to tune a nitrous system, just checking the plugs and adjusting jets.

wouldnt it be best leaving your distributor alone and retard timing with a msd box? or running 2 map threw ecu/engine management with nitrous and without

i believe you dont know what you are talking about

For one he running a lsvtec with jdm itr pistons...that setup alone really could use a good tune. Running a stock ecu will not get things done right.
