Nitros noob, please help me before I O'conner the **** out of my fresh b18c2
Hey kids, just trying to figure out this whole nitros thing hey, alot of information i have read about installing made me feel like a schoolchild.
Anyhow long story short i'm considering a 35 shot dry into my b18c2 for occasional spurts down to the shops ect.
My question is:
Will the stocko ecu deliver the fuel needed to burn this gas properly? or will my cast pistons end up as cooked as a twelve year old on pingers?

you will be fine as long as you don't hold that button down or have a lead foot for hours on end. Don't miss a gear. She will hold just like she would hold on lots of boost. GSR's love forced induction, especially when they are on there last bit of life.

Keegan, are you tweak tune kaboom? Lmao, gsr love boost when theyre at the end of their life? Wtf are you smokin besides carbon monoxide?
Op, dont listen to him. A 35 dry shot might be ok, but im not sure the stock system will be able to keep up. At wot the ecu doesnt add any more fuel except what the fuel table and some temp compensations tell it to do. It won't know you have nitrous in the engine

I've never ever heard someone call it an O'Connor... I couldn't help but laugh when I read the title.

Go wet and you don't have to worry about the ecu providing any extra fuel.
Coming from a guy who has been running 100 wet shot on built block b18a1 for months. Stock Ecu.

So you are running a 100 wet shot without pulling any timing? Did I read that right. It seems like to me with a 100 shot some timing would need to be pulled due to the burn speed of nitrous, but I've never personally messed with the stuff... But with a stock ecu you are probably around 30 degrees of ignition advance at full throttle around redline, just seems really sketchy with 100 shot and those timing numbers. Like I said though I've never messed with it before so maybe I'm wrong.

Here's what you need to know.
You can use nitrous perfectly fine on a stock ecu, is it optimal? **** no. Will it work? Yes.
Most of the time, The "out" the box jetting will be very wrong, I wouldn't run more then a 75 on a stock ECU type setup. Realistically the general rule of thumb is 2 degree of timing, per 50 shot, I've found through tuning some nitrous setups, that this is a very, VERY safe guess..
JET tune the nitrous, you'll be fine. A simple investment of Neptune or Hondata s300 would easily allow you to run more and have a peace of mind.

There is so much BS in this thread I had to go put waders on just to read it. Soo many trolls lately. I blame 8 - 14 year old's parents.

Meh, lately I've just stopped caring.
Doesn't matter to me any if they don't listen and nuke a motor or two... But I'm jaded
