fuel cut defender
Im having a problem making boost above 8psi and was told that my ecu may have a fuel cut. When I make full boost sometimes the engine just completely cuts out, so Im assuming this is the case. I have 440 injectors, high vol fuel pump, and the car is fully tuned, so I know im getting enough fuel. Anyway, I came across a TurboSmart fuel cut defender, which is said to eliminate or increase the fuel cut. Has anyone ever used this before or had the same problem I'm having? Because its a 150 beans and I dont wanna buy it and end up having a completely different issue.

Im not the first owner of this hondata system, and i was unaware that u could program a boost cut into it. Do you think this is what most likely happend? and if so would it be possible for this fuel cut defender to override it? Or would I have to reprogram the hondata

sonds like a boost cut to me. you can have your tuner up it to any desired psi. and no a fuel cut defender will not override it . its reading boost off of your map sensor. for the 150 you could have your car retuned to your desired boost so that way you will be sure that your getting enough fuel when you up the boost

Yea, I definitely agree. It sounds like boost cut to me too. Fuel cut is basically just like the rev limiter, but boost cut can happen at any rpms. If you are at full boost and all of a sudden the car just lays down...thats boost cut. Yea, you can just have them up the limit like .5psi or something.

yeah i actually got in touch with my tuner and apparently there was a boost cut programmed. I forgot that when I had the car dynoed, I had a p.o.s manual boost controller that wouldnt go above 6.5 psi no matter what u did to it. So he was unable to tune the car for a higher boost level and ended up programming a boost cut for like 8psi

What kind of MAP sensor does your car have? If you still have a stock Honda one, or a Hondata without the boost option, maybe that's the reason it hits fuel cut.
By the way, what's your A/F reading?

I have a 3 bar map sensor and yes i have the boost option...i found out a boost cut was set at 8 psi because it was not tuned to boost over that. It was just for safety
