Default Next best thing to air filter?

I have no room to put any type of filter in. What can I do? Right now I have a wire screen. Is there something better?

Any suggestions would be great.

Edit: Found something! https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1026693

are you talking about to put on your turbo ?? if thats what you mean you can do a wire screen or pantyhose just be sure to clamp it down so it doesn't get sucked in. or me creative and try somethin else.

I used an old polo sock. It was terrible for air flow but it worked at the time.

IMHO, it's a bad idea to use anything but an air filter on your turbo. A screen or pantyhose might prevent any large rocks or debris from being sucked in, but you're still sucking in a ton of dust and small dirt molecules. You have any pics of your setup, I find it hard to believe that you can't find room for a filter with all the different sizes K&N makes.

I currently run a screen, but I do realize it is terribly restrictive. It's all about surface area.

I had a pretty tight squeeze for my intake and filter, but with a couple pipe bends, silicon 90 degree transitions, and a lil vaseline =P, everything fits! Check out atpturbo.com for the silicon couplers.

Have you looked into the mushroom style filters like hks?

KN or nothing... I cant belive how much dirt it catch when I clean it... sand, dirt etc.

All those thing can scratch your sleeve and damage your engine on a long period.

I just washed my KN last week with the special soap for it... it was full of dirt. I WOULD NEVER RUN A SCREEN.
