1. Boost low if you're keeping your stock internals.

2. Boost gauge, Air/Fuel Ratio or Exhaust Temp.(more accurate)

3. You dont NEED an intercooler but it's highly reccommended.

welcome to the club, I'm in the same boat.

1. If I were you I'd get low comp. pistons. Stronger Rods. I'd get stronger thicker head gaskets. And a Thermal exhaust. Thats just me, I'm still a newbie at this.

2. Boost gauge and Air/Fuel Gauge. Boost so you don't blow up your engine. A/F gauge so that you don't blow up your engine for a different reason.

3. Yes and no. You can run boost without an intercooler but you probably won't be able to run past 4-5psi. Intercooler cools the intake charge so that you can safely run boost . Cooler air = Denser air = helps prevent detonation.

I'm running 8lbs daily on stock internals, D16Y8

Boost, a/f, egt, water temp, oil pressure, oil temp, fuel pressure would all be nice to have.

I wouldn't want to run 8lbs of boost non-intercooled...

I have a DRAG I kit.
You can get an HKS manifold that's flanged for a T25, I believe.
Check the shaft play, it's a major indicator if something's wrong with the turbo. The shaft should spin freely, and shouldn't have any lateral(side to side) play.
