Default newb question

I am still new to turbo's, but i like asking questions! On the compressor, there is a threaded bolt hole? What is this for? I can't figure it out, the kit didn't come with any fittings to plug this, are you supposed to leave it open? if i do, wouldn't it cause a boost leak! Or is it some safety precaution?

Its just a source to bet your boost/vaccum signal from. I have mine running to my wastegate for activation.

no problem, allot of people use that port for that. Good luck with your setup.

Are you better off using the port off the turbo or a source off the manifold?

I would think the manifold, the port of the turbo may show 10psi, but after the IC and other restrictions won't you read less?

exactly....if you tap on the charger pipe or intake mani you will get a reading after the IC...it will match the readin on your boost gauge

That makes sense! So I am going to just tread a bolt in there to plug it up!
