Default New to turbo, intercooler needed?

I know if you run boost you should have an intercooler to cool the air so your engine won't detonate, but, if I buy the greddy turbo kit for my GSR it does not come with an intercoooler. So does this mean I don't need one as long as I dont boost it anymore than the stock kit?

For very low boost i guess you dont need one but it would be to your advantage to have one . Not only dont it look nice but those things really do the job.

You're probably going to need one if you plan on pushing anymore then the stock kit. But also if the temp outside is really hot and you humidity is low, your car is gonna run really crappy. Because the intake air temp will be extremely hot.

But the point in the end is that everything outside will affect a turbo car, and one thing that will really help is an intercooler, right?

you can run without it, but it will not be as forgiving to you. i would never consider running a turbo w/o an intercooler at any psi.
