Is it true that your supposed to break in a turbo for about 1,000 miles?

 

I dont think turbos need to be broken in. I'm sure others may say different

 

I didnt think so either, but i just got a new T3 and the guy told me dont boost full untill after 1,000 miles

 

so ride around in vacuum for a month or so?? I dont think so!! factory boosted car see full boost in the first 10 miles I'm sure and the turbo last 36k+ miles. Dont sweat it, boost the car. that guy is crazy!!

no, that's trash. I would let the car idle for about 5 minutes, take off the return line to make sure it's flowing oil, then drive it around without boosting for a few minutes and then make that fugger work for its dinner
