Default the new setup

so as you might have seen in another thread my boost setup wont build all 8 pounds of boost for me... i am tired of being slow even when it does build all 8 psi... so i have about 4500 bucks to spend and here it goes:

y8 block all the rotation assembly rebalanced and such.
vitara pistons
tuner toys rods
acl bearings
arp headstuds
cometic headgasket
sls shorty manifold
big 16g turbo (cant decide if this is too small)
880 cc injectors
d15b head
zex 59300 turbo cam
all the new pumps and such to rebuild motor.
secret services eCtune full dyno tune
fidanza 6 puck sprung clutch(know it will be a pain but i dont care)

cliffs:
good setup for a 300-400whp street car
what damn turbo to use i still want quick spool??

You might want to try a ball-bearing T3/T4 57trim turbo.

A ball bearing 57 trim is not going to spool any faster than a regular 57trim, but it will have better transient response.

If you're looking for ~400whp, a GT28rs would be a good buy if you can justify spending the money on it. There are a few turbos out there for less money that will do the trick as well, but you'll have to live with a little more lag. Even something like a standard 57trim or GT3255 would work well for you. With my GT3255b on a stock GSR i had full boost by 3800rpm and it carried through redline. On 10.5psi i made 315whp so 400whp shouldn't be out the question. Are you planning to make 400whp on pump gas?? If so, be sure to find something efficient enough at those pressure ratios to run pump gas. Pushing a smaller turbo hard on pump gas is not going to work too well.
