new numbers with DSS axles and GE manifold video...56k no way
We went to the track yesterday
and got a few runs in with the new axles
here's the best time
60- 1.739
1/8- 8.055
mph- 84.10
this time was run on a stock h22 @ 10psi with full interior
should have better times soon and hopefully some 1/4 mile times/vids as well
I'll try to post some better vids but for now I got this one, my computer has been acting up today
http://tunedbylorange.com/8.mpg
still have not dynoed the GE manifold yet

Looks like fun! Any new dyno numbers w/ the manifold? How far has it shifted the power curve, how much power was lost down low? I am very interested to see a dyno comparison of the stock manifold versus the new GE manifold. How does the car feel w/ the new manifold?

60ft is good, 1/8 time is alright, 1/8th mph is real low for a turbo car like it was falling off up top.

stage 3 axles, kept all sensors, I agree that's a slow mph too
maybe because we had the interior in and half a tank of gas, also we have full 3 inch stainless all the way back too our hatch is pretty heavy.....maybe 75 to 100 lbs. heavier than a comparable b-series hatch??

Nice 60 ft...My b18c1 powered coupe @ 7psi ran a 8.49 @ 85 with a 1.9 60ft. Full interior too, I wish I could pull a 1.7

Re: (integra_gsr98)
7.5 @ 99 mph.... not bad for a built motor
we anticipate running low 7's when we have a fully built motor and can boost past 10 psi ...
but for now I guess we'll just have to keep it @ 10 psi and see what we can do with the stock internals for now
we should break 7's this weekend when we take out the interior though

Re: new numbers with DSS axles and GE manifold video...56k no way (h22 civic)
I keep getting IM's about the manifold and how it fit in the hatch so I decided to share some info,
we did have to do a slight mod to get the manifold to work, but we did not have to do any cutting or hacking or relocating on the car
After installing the manifold Dennis started the car for the first time, and the manifold apparently had a leak. He took a few minutes to inspect everything, everything was hooked up properly and all extra vaccum nipples were plugged. He then sprayed the manifold (where the injectors go in) with carb cleaner and this caused the engine to surge. Disparagingly he removed the manifold. He checked the injector o-rings & they were ok. Then he got a staight edge and checked to see if the flange (that bolts up to the head) was true. Sure enought the flange was warped, which caused a leak on the #2 & 3 cylinder
This caused the #1 & 4 cylinders to make contact but #2 & 3 were not. We called GE and they said it should not have any warpage and that the flange should have a straight edge. They offered to refinish the flange if we sent the manifold back, but of course we could not wait. So we decided to fix the problem ourselves. We had to use a DA sander (to grind down the edges) and used 2 intake gaskets to get it to seal properly.
I'll post some pics of the manifold on the car soon!
We are happy with the GE manifold and would still buy it if we had to do it over again, it's worth it. GE also said they would do something to make up for it. So maybe they'll give us a discount on sleeving our block.
