Default new motor

just finish with the new motor........should i break in the motor first then boost or...tune and boost will breaking the motor in...........which one is better.......motor is built for boost with 9.8.1 com....

thats what im doin with my new motor. im sure with a good tune and if you didnt boost too hard im sure it'd be fine to break it in, but im not about to chance it with my 3 g's.

Break it in on the dyno with boost. That is what i've done for both of my motors.

haha thats exactly what I'm going to do, I just hope my motor doesnt run too lean while i drive it 10min to church tuning

what if your piston is 9.8.1 comp....can you still run with stock ecu untill motor break it.........would that throw the stock ecu off............

Na dont do it! Too risky, your pistons might scrape your sleeves like in those pictures The most i would do is drive it no more than 15min to the dyno to tune it and break it in there.

i mean just use stock injector stock everything no turbo watsoever............just like the car is stock....will that be ok....or do i still need to tune becuz of the diff..in compression...

yeah definately, I mean if you have cams only it would be a diff story but I think if you change the pistons then it wont be ok.

so its a must tune motor..if piston is change...can't use stock ecu to break motor in then..........how do ppl with like 9.0.1 compression..break in there motor.......

on my piston and rod gsr, i have 9.5:1 cp pistons, i started it up in garage to check for leaks and then i rented a uhaul car dolly for $50 and towed my car to tuner, these motors cost too much to risk anything

and we broke it in with boost

heard your built sleeved motor pulled a amazing 250 less horsepower .....dang all that for so little horsey......its your turbo that is holding you back especially your setup. Even your boy with the LS ebay turbo pulled that on all stock. but living in cali with all their carb bullshit is wack, i should run low 12's when im done with mine.
