new meaning of 'junkyard turbo'
Now the rebuilding process begins... she's a 95 esprit s4 that hit a living thing (deer? human?) at speed.. needs a bumper, front body section, windshield, and a couple of airbags.. so far it looks like about $2k for just the body parts and the airbags are straight gm stuff.. just gotta find the right part #s.

Try two places:
Dave Bean Engineering at 209-754-5802 http://www.davebean.com or Kampena motors at 650-583-5480 http://www.kampena.com and tell them Travis from British Car Magazine sent you (www.britishcar.com) let me know how it goes.

Bought it from a salvage yard for $15k... I am aiming to have it completed for another $5k. I have good hands and a good set of tools so I think i can take the car all the way up to final prep on my own. I'm gonna take some more pics tomorrow and post them up.. from the fenders back the car is pristine and just so damn sexy!

what would working at a chrysler dealer have to do with a Lotus Turbo?
Get ready for headaches you didnt even think possible with a vehicle, those british cars just seem to have ways of breaking that doesnt make any kinda sense

what? who cares what the car hit, well if you wanna get technical the CAR didnt hit anything the driver hit it
and the title will say rebuilt or salvage on it and the value is severely diminished usually you cut about 30-40% off the bb value but if its a car youre looking to just drive for a long time and not necessarily sell for a profit then you can really make out well if the car is repaired properly, i sold a 92 n/a MR2 in 2001 with 78K TMU and a rebuilt title and i still got $5K for it so often times it really depends on the car and how the buyer feels about a salvage title
