Default Need some help, little boost and fuel cut off at 6500 (2000 si drag kit)

I have a 2000 Si and I just installed a drag kit with a tial 38mm WG and vortech 12:1 FMU and walbro 255 pump. My probelms are I am getting maybe 2 or 3 psi and not even till 5k. Also I got fuel cutoff at 6500. We checked all the lines and charge pipes, no leaks. I was wondering if this was becuase of the FMU? On a 00 si where do I tap the vaccum line off the FMU onto? A picture would be great. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions that would be great

Thanks

I thought you were suppose to use an Inline pump with an FMU because the Walbro pump couldnt handle the high fuel pressue that the FMU was putting out. I could be miss informed but I believe it might be a problem. My .02

Yeah... im having the same problem... get rid of the FMU and get a chipped ecu with uberdata or crome..... I am going to install my injectors, IM, on fri and I'll also have my chipped p28 with uberdata... so I'll let you know if this fixes the prob... I start to lean out at around 6k on mine... later Mike

yep, you're probably leaning out like crazy under boost.

do you have a missing link or check valves installed? if not that's the problem.

T the FPR vacuum line off to the FMU

First off, the FMU is not causing the problem. You think they would sell 1000's of kits with the same management and have it not work? Second, don't add additional parts to fix the problem. Look at what you have now and fix it right before you move on. Adding a FPR is useless with 100+psi of line pressure. What is it going to do???

User Dasher made a good write up on the install of the Drag kit, look that over and see if you missed anything.

The walbro intank WILL NOT provide enough pressure to support the FMU. It is a large volume pump. You MUST have the FMU hooked up with a inline pump to have the correct amount of fuel. You can run both with no problems but at least have the inline. Go back and check the lines to the FMU and see if they are correct. Then make sure you have a missing link hooked up. Then check all the vac. lines to make sure they are attached. Then check all the charge pipes and make sure they are attached correctly and tight.
