YES YES YES that is your problem, an FMU requires more pressure to opperate correctly, more than your stock intank, or evan an aftermarket intank can provide.

hmm thats weird. i had the exact same problem as you befroe my inline pump, but aftre the install i was staying rich in 5th gear. try checking to see if you ran the inline pump right. make sure you have a relay attached to it as well.

what car is this for and what is your setup. im running 7 psi on a 5th gen lude., i was leaning out in fifth gear with my stock fuel pump and a FMU,. boosted a little that day to try out because the stock fuel pump on a prelude can hold 7psi if you dont over kill. tried taking it on the highway and it leaned out in fifth gear, figureed out my prob. slapped a inline pump and started riching in 5th. the only other suggestion that i can offer is if you have the inline connected properly and your still leaning in 5th gear, id say check your check valves make sure your not throwing a code,. if all your lines are hooked up correctly you should be in rich, not stoich or lean in 5th gear boost. all depends on how much your boosting to, because if your running high boost you should consider some kind of stand alone. what injectors are you using? stock or 310's?

i'm running a 15g inside my 1990 integra.. i installed my check valves a couple days ago and i'm not getting a cel nemore.. so it seems like that fixed that problem.. i'm using stock injectors.. i'm unsure of my boost cuz i don't have a boost guage yet but the previous owner said it was set to 5.. it's the greddy 15g w/ a built in wastegate..

that could be your problem, your stock injectors might need to be cleaned and balanced., your not releasing enouhg fuel in 5th gear and your FMU is trying to gte more fuel outta your inline and your pump, and your pushing to much pressure for the stock injectors to handle.

Make sure injectors are clean and make sure that fmu is really 12:1 .

On a 12:1 the disc its as big as the diameter of the FMU. I run a 4:1 and its only 1" or so in diameter.

while we're on the topic, would running 310 injectors, inline pump, stock intank, stock fpr, and 12:1 fmu be too much fuel??
