No. definately not a GT30R, not with that aerodynamics. Its a rather old design, that's for sure. From those measurements, it looks similar to an older M-trim, or possibly a smaller 60-1. The aero looks rather dated. It is a stage III exhaust wheel though. Expect about 400-430whp to maximize this turbocharger

thanks for the quick response.. i guess i shouldn't aim for more than 400hp if that's the case..

7 blades makes it a t04b but I can't remember what trim. The wheels physically has the same inducer and exducer as a 3076 but it wont flow anything like a gt series wheel. I'll keep digging to see what I can find.

Is there a tag on the CHRA on backplate? post the numbers

no it don't have any tag.. i don't even see anything to indicate that a tap was on the backplate and they probably removed it..

The cover is obviously T04b, but there are several wheel styles that had 7 blades outside of the 60-1. the 60-1 originally came as a t04b before turbonetics and then Garrett made their more recent ones T04S cover

i really just wanted to know what it is so i can check the hp rating.. "TheShodan" said earlier 400-430hp max.. i was more hoping the max was 500-550hp so i can feel a little comfortable at 400 knowing that the turbo isn't maxed out.. but it is what is it i just gotta work with what i have until i get money to upgrade..

You won't get 550 on that turbine wheel.

ok you seem to be well educated in the turbo industry.. this is my current setup..

complete gsr motor..
pnp head
supertech springs & retainers
stock valves
stock cams { thinking about getting s2 pro 1's}
81.5mm stock sleeve block
cp 9:0.1 pistons
eagle rods
arl bearings
oem head gasket
edelbrock victor x maniold
76mm throttle body
bosch 1600 injector
fab-worx top mount manifold
"that garrett turbo we are trying to identify now"
3" downpipe
3" intercooler piping
4" intercooler..
tial 50mm bov
walbro 255 intank
gsr tranny w/cusco lsd

what turbo do u recommend..i have been seeing alot of good number with the billet 6262 & the 6265... im also looking into getting a sleeve block.. so my power goal will be about 700hp when i do get that block.. car wont be daily driven it will probably see the street twice in a week.

Good going on the Cusco LSD, though not the best for drag race. Clutch plate versions on FWDs are good circuit LSDs, but the plates aren't good for taking the shock of a drag car.

That's a tall order that your current garrett turbo would NOT work for the goals you're looking for.

What's your budget for a turbocharger? Precision 6265/6262 are ok, but for 700whp, why not step up to the 67mm? you can go Precision or Garrett, or even the Borg-Warner S366 series. Need to know your budget though. I'll PM you my recommendations and suggestions.

That 37 you built me is still sitting on the shelf, I havent used it. I put it on my sr20 and I shattered an oil pump gear leaving my driveway lol.

I need to talk to you about sizing again sometime. You still on aim alot?

Absolutely. AIM me. I think its time to redo that turbine wheel/shaft for something a little more efficient or something else entirely.
