Default Identify this turbo...

I have this turbonetics turbo, problem is i dont know what trim it is or anything. The guy i bought it from says its a t3/t4. but im not too sure. i know the exhaust is a .63 but i dont know what stage wheel it is. looked on turbonetics webpage and didnt find anything. well they did list specs but i couldnt find the last two numbers that they list to figure out what stage it is. emailed turbonetics with no response. there is also a v imprinted on the compressor housing to the right of where the nipple is. on to the pics

heres whats imprinted inside the exhaust

exhaust wheel is 2 1/4" in diameter

compressor inlet is 2 1/2" wide and outlet is 1 3/4"

imprint on compressor housing

reference to size i guess

TIA

Without Measuring the wheels and such u arent gonna really know what spec it is visually cause most turbos all look alike.

I see however it does has a casting number by turbonetics. U can prolly give them a call and see if they can provide any info for you.

Last resort, Pop off the compressor cover and measure the wheel.

Good Luck

i somewhat measured it with a ruler. i know i know its not as accurate is the dial caliper but it was 2.25 inches. and from what i believe the trim is measured in millimeters. and searching online i found some calulaters i guess on converting inches to mm. and i found that 2.25 inches is 57.15 mm. so im going to assume it is a 57 trim. but till i go buy the dial caliper which will probably be tomorrow. i will confirm. if someone thinks otherwise please let me know

now after looking deeper into turbonetics.com. i found that they have a list of specs. and after looking at this chart. i found that there was i guess a v trim or whatever. i dont know . and it says the inducer is 2.180" which could be what it is. but i dont know hahaha. i will just have to confirm this for myself tomorrow on my day off. how do you figure out what stage the exhaust wheel is. there is a series of numbers on the side which are 20358 which means its a .63ar but there is supposed to be 2 numbers after that. help me out. i mean its not that important. but id just like to know

this is the chart

Looks like a Stage3 I beleive. Something like a 57 trim.

Ask Ben, at import-parts.com. (hes here on HT also)

He knows turbonetics really well. But im sure its a 57/63

its a turbonetics 60-1 , stage 3 back wheel. the normal t3/t4's only have 6 blades on the front compressor wheel. ive had plenty of them

all t04b are in effect 60-1 wheels, hence the 7 blade design

measure the outside .. which you did .. 57MM

measure the LARGE back portion where the blade flares out .. get a measurement

and devide them and you get the trim.

however you already researched it was a V trim ?

its a TO4B wheel thats for sure.

yeah i dunno. hahaha. it has a small v imprinted on the compressor housing with led me to believe it was a v trim. but what size is a vtrim. 50,55, or 57. this **** confuses me. i wish they would just put numbers on it

Bringing this back from the dead to confirm...

If there are six compressor wheel blades, then it's a T04e housing?

And if there are seven compressor wheel blades, then it's a T04b housing?
