Need New Radiator. Which is best?
My fan was very loose and it rubbed a bunch of pin sized holes into my radiator. I was using a half sized Mishimoto. The fan that was on it when mounted to the rad would pull air towards the bumper area (to me that seems like it would be fighting against the air while driving).
Not trying to fix the broke one. What is the best (within reasonable price range) Radiator and fan combo that I can get. I was looking at the neukin one with a shroud which looked nice seeing as the fan would not rub any holes into it.
Never had to purchase a Radiator/fan setup before so I am open to opinions and options. I do not have an a/c condensor and I have a gt30r on the car with neukin ramhorn manifold and downpipe. All of which is getting wrapped in heat wrap now that I have plenty of room to work since the POS RADIATOR IS OUT!!!!!! GRRRR......

Re: Need New Radiator. Which is best?
ok that makes sense But the main question I have is what is the best readiator to get as mine is now broken. The fans rubbing and bouncing wore holes through the aluminum mishimoto I have. I need a new one and want one with a fan that will last more than two years.

Doesnt mishi warranty their rads for life?
Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty
Customer satisfaction has been the foundation of the Mishimoto philosophy since its inception. Mishimoto is a name customers can trust to provide a lifetime of performance satisfaction with every aluminum radiator and cooling component. To back this promise, Mishimoto extends a 'no questions asked' limited lifetime warranty policy to customers that covers every product in the Mishimoto catalog. Mishimoto will gladly replace an original product should customers experience a defect or issue. To avoid any unnecessary issues, Mishimoto encourages customers to have professionals handle product installation. Any concerns relating to installation or compatibility should be addressed prior to installing any product. The Mishimoto lifetime warranty policy also provides for accident protection, covering products damaged during an accident. Accident protection warranties will be honored from customers who submit their warranty claim with pictures of the accident and an official police report within three months of the incident.

Re: Need New Radiator. Which is best?
It had a few holes before and I JB welded them shut. I do not think they will honor a warranty with this thing. the cheap plastic mounts worked loose and rubbed holes into it. Its not a defect or mistake in craftsmanship. Its not made to have a fan vibrating and rubbing it constantly. Good look on the warranty though. I think I am getting another Mishimoto with shroud (to prevent same issue) and calling it a day.

Re: Need New Radiator. Which is best?
I mainly want the shroud just to ensure The fan does not work loose and rub holes into anything as it did before. I will see how this fan works then might upgrade to the higher CFM one. I just bought 75ft of header wrap and ordered turbo blanket so That should help with the under hood temps some too.Hood in dual vented which helps while driving but not as much at a stop.

http://www.t1racedevelopment.com/ind...hk=1&Itemid=72
that will have all the best components in one package that you can bolt in, hook up the relay and be done
or you can buy just about any aftermarket rad and bolt this up and be good to go
http://www.t1racedevelopment.com/ind...mart&Itemid=72
or you can just buy a fluidyne radiator, the spal 13" high performance fan, and have someone local make you a shroud (cheapest but requires more work from you)

Re: Need New Radiator. Which is best?
Off topic but maybe relavent to this post.
Anyone have fitment issue with the Koyo, fluidyne, or mishimotos?
I have another brand,(un-named at the moment) dual core half size for my EG and its about 1/2 inch too tall and I cant close my hood.
I looked at the support.. its straight.
The two lower mounts arent bent.
The rubber is sitting flush on mounts.
Hood is oem.
When i go to close my hood it's about a half inch too high.
Any thoughts?

Re: Need New Radiator. Which is best?
I am the original owner and i bought this (radiator)
new.
It is a name brand.
Since I'm trying to work with them right now, I don't want to name them publicly.
I had a C&R in there previously no issues closing hood.
The manufacturer is asking the usual questions...
Has it been in an accident, is the hood stock, can you send us pics..Yada yada
The gap is a good half inch and it hits in the left side of course because that's where the Eg hatch mounts the stock unit.
It's not been in an accident and the hood is stock.
The lower rubber is new and the radiator stay is stock.
I hate to say this place bought Radiators that are not oem and are pawning them off as such, but their lack of interest in resolving the fitment issue is souring my feelings towards their products.
