Default need help wideband experts

ok i finally fired up my d16z6-t and my wideband is alittle nuts, i have a 3 inch downpipe with a e cutout and a wideband, once my car reaches normal idle my wideband bounces around like crazy, it goes from 12 all the way to lean with my e cutout open, with my ecutout closed it is just lean, the e cutout comes out the side of the fender and i am not sure if wind is messing with the wideband, did i pick a bad spot? here is a drawing, i own in paint

yeah, your sensor should be positioned before the y-pipe (or whatever you have diverting the gasses to the cutout)

EDIT: also the reason (probably) that your afrs bounce around with the cutout open is closed loop operation; your afr's probably won't be acurate unless you are at more than 60% throttle (open loop) or if you have an engine management system that allows you to disable closed loop operation.

if you're reading your wideband with the cutout closed, the exhaust gasses will be going straight through your muffler and cat, and they'll be diverted around your wideband sensor. On the other hand, with your cutout open, gasses will be going through both your exhaust and your cutout, possibly giving you an inaccurate reading. If you place the sensor prior to the y-pipe, you can be sure that all your exhaust gasses will be going past your sensor, whichever exhaust route you have open.

Also, since you are using uberdata, be sure to disable closed loop to get an accurate reading. When you're done tuning, you can re-enable it, or just run open loop all the time (like me )
