I need help, I have the following below and I need to know if I should put it a blockguard or will I be fine? or will the blockguard do damage rather then good? Bottom is all assembled. Will it be okay as it is to make 20 psi and 450 whp max be daily at 12 psi? YES NO? advice help?

that sleeve install dosent look to hot, see the space between the sleeves .

but usually when a block is sleeved, then you dont want to run a block guard.

I agree with boosted_dc2, if your block is already sleeved then you would not want to put a blockguard.

It just does not make any sense ya know.

I am using a blockguard cause I can't afford a sleeved block.

ya there iron ductile I think and the bore is 84.5mm, It was done by a well known shop in San Diego, CA that works on imports so I am sure that they are put in fine. I just needed reinsurance that they will be okay up to 20 psi max without a blockguard added. It's either do or die...

If they are installed correctly then you defiently will not need a blockgaurd.

450 whp at 12 psi is pretty optimistic. unless of course i completely read that wrong. and you meant 450 at 20 psi lol

besides a block guard will do NOTHING for you for strength. ther are for sleeve movment and stabilization.

no block guards are not needed at all w/ sleeved blocks.. a sleeved block is already stronger then an oem sleeve so your good

Yeah those look thin. I've never seen darton or any other aftermarket sleeves look that thin.

If an unsleeved stock block can take 600whp on a race this this thing will at least do the same if not more. There is no need for a blockguard..

there not that thin, may look it, but there 20 over on CRV and Darton sleeves can take I think as far as 80 over and still have the same power band and strength. AZ came up with a blockguard for me he was kinda like either way about, if you want it to be bullet proof put one in...but i know people who dont and there fine...so i think I will not get the blockguard. I dont plan on goin over 20 psi, so I should be good I am thinkin....

If you wanted a cool pattern in the coolant jacket, you should have just gotten some AEBS closed deck sleeves
