need help with hack
ok i finally swapped out the 390's for some rc440's + walboro 255hp. my fuel pressure at idle is 40psi. settings are as follows..
1k -25
1.5k -30
2k - 8k -35
runs good and idles good... except anything after 5psi, i get massive amounts of detonation!
i retarded my timing @distrib to 13deg... i also swapped out for 2 step colder plugs gapped @ .32 (i have full msd ignition and coil) 8gallons of 91octane w/1 gallon of xylene
my boost controller is set to 9 or 10psi... but soon as i hit 5psi... clink clink clink.. so i let off the gas...
is there something im doing wrong? heres the link i was working from.

ok i pulled the plugs and they looked like ghosts... i changed the afc settings to run a little richer... and no more detonation...(although i did make a run uphill and started detonating little).
1k -28
1.5 -2.5k -32
3 - 9k -30
i also upped the fpr to 45psi @idle.
Thanks Archives!!!

ok.. another question.. doesnt my afc settings seem really low for running 440's, walboro 255 and 45psi @idle. anything less than -30 will make me very lean.. but if i dont lean it out more.. my voltage will go over 5v... (then i get code 3 for map)

bump... my settings for 4k rpm and above are in the -20's ... i keep throwing a cel (map sensor) is something wrong with my fuel setup? i changed out the b&m for a aem rising rate fpr. fuel pressure is at 52 with the hose disconnected. can a clogged fuel filter be the cause my afc settings so high? maybe its just a bad pump?
setup: walboro 255hp pump, rc 440's, str fuel rail, aem fpr.

ok please take a look here:
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=50365
would this apply with the walboro fuel pumps too? that way if i turn down the base fuel pressure my injectors will flow more... in turn i can subtract more from the afc = no more cel hopefully.
