Default Need help from experts, oil fees line queation

Friends,
Recently got all parts together for a mini upgrade now running into an issue with mocking everything up.

I am running a ramhorn manifold with a gtx35 turbo my issue is I can't seem to find a good way to run my oil feed line. I was told by an expert don't use a 90' in the oil feed plumbing. So my only option is to run it straight in but the oil line will fit in such a way that it is "all up in" and touching my turbo manifold. Is it acceptable for the feed line to contact the manifold?

Any ideas would really help me out.

There is absolutly nothing wrong with puttin a 90 in the oil feed line. The return line however you dont want to use a 90 anywhere.

Just be sure that line isnt in any way going to touch the manifold or it will burst. otherwise your fine

That's correct. 90 degree on the oil feed is ok, just not the return. the block adapter to the oil sending unit doesn't have to be tightened all the way and be vertical in order for it to properly wrap around part of the valve cover to get to that feed. I would use a nice thermal sleeve over that line as a safety measure to keep that from bursting as Turbo LS suggested..

Since you're running a barbed hose, Put a thermal sleeve over those water lines, too. It doesn't take much to melt the area between the water fitting barb and the hose (which is why I like the stainless ones as well). Remember, you're easily over 700*F-800*F in that spacing between cartridge and manifold.. even when not racing.

Here's how I did mine.. (Notice the black thermal sleeve over the -4AN line on the far right next to the engine torque dampner by the cam gears.)

So far, lookin' good...

Am I good or should I loop it around the long way.

Or shorten up the hose on this side?

I personally dont like anything near the tbelt but it looks like you have it well secured. Just get a shorter hose.

I agree with this. That "dip" in the hose is a bit on the long side. I personally would go outside and around the timing belt area.
