Need Help, BOOSTING PROBLEMS while Smashing it
alrite so i got the car running, not 100% fully tuned but safe to run for now?....
so far im boosting 7psi according to my guage but, the problem im experiencing is that, when smashing on it, i can hit 7psi maxed at 5000 rpm
but it sounds like a rev limiter on the turbo, i guess its spluttering like a long woosh sound (and im 100% forsure its not the bov)
what could be wronG?
manual boost controller problem?

Re: Need Help with b16a2 turbo vacuum lines
If your turbo have a nipple on the compressor housing than connect a vacuum line from that to your wastegate. If you have a manual boost controller than that goes on the vacuum line from the turbo to the wastegate. Boost gauge "T" with fpr and the bov to the other vacumm source that on top of the manifold like you mention in your first post. That should be good until your vacuum manifold arrive.

Re: Need Help with b16a2 turbo vacuum lines
my turbo housing does have a nipple but it was capped off, and i was told to run the boost controller from a port on the side port of my tial wastegate, leaving the top port opened, and i t-ed it with a port directly on top of the intake manifold, whast am i suppose to be doing?
its pretty confusing

If you do not know how to route the wastegate vacuum then how do you plan to tune it? Sounds like your doing it yourself bc .its not "completely" tuned and your still driving it "smasking" the gas?! SOunds like disaster.
But sounds like you may have the wastgate vacuum backwards.

Re: Need Help, BOOSTING PROBLEMS while Smashing it
ok... the previous owner had the turbo kit on a D-Series tuned to 14psi, it made 260whp, so when i had it on my car it was particially tuned already, since the d16y8 and a b16a2 isnt too different. the only problem was that the previous owner had it at 14psi and i was only running 6psi.
I already retuned the car, it was done at TECH3 Performance, Ryan the tuner was very helpfull and good at what he does. Unfortunantly i was only able to boost 6.5-7psi because of a really worn out MSD Cap and Rotor.. my car kept cutting out power (misfiring) ar 6-7k rpm so ryan just set it at 6.5psi. it made 240 whp w/ 160lbs torque
i was hoping for more but im pretty satisfy with it already,
