Default boost problem

just got my car running a few weeks back and never really took it all the way, but today while try'n it out..the boost would go to 8psi then cut out and go back to normal vacuum(-15ish) even when giving gas..what could be the problem?!

the wg is getting vacuum from a vacuum manifold, should it have its own source such as the fpr?..the bov goes off but im getting compressure surge at every let-go of trottle

thanks

Is your car tune? And need more info of what you had done to your car and set-up you are running.

If you have an external wastegate I would highly sugguest running a vac line from the wastegate to the vac inlet on the turbo. If there is no inlet on the turbo weld one on. This will pretty much fix your probelm.

I'm guessing that cut out you are having is because you're not getting enough fuel. Are you still on stock injectors? And that 15ish at vacuum, is that WOT or part throttle? What kind of BOV do you have?

yea right now im still running stock injectors till i get the 550's in and save up for a tune job,
its partial trottle..i builds to 8 psi then just shoots right back down, car feels dead too..then when i back off the trottle and give it more gas it'll spool up again

Yeah, I didnt know you had stock injectors. That's the probelm right there. Its not getting enough fuel to build enough boost.

Does it shoot back down by itself when you are still WOT or did you left off? Whenever you are not on the gas pedal or little to no load it will be in vacuum depending how much load you are putting on the throttle. But don't go boosting your car with stock injectors or else you'll blow it up pretty quick. Wait for your injectors to arrive, install them, get some sort of engine management, and get it tune.
