a basemap is just someones guess-timate, tow it and get it tuned by a real tuner.

yes i understand this but the nearest tuner to me is 3+ hrs i just wanna make sure the motor is strong enough. On a base map the car should still run correct?

Check all of your basics. If I were you I would make sure that your timing is correct, all cylinders are firing, etc.

Black smoke = rich, typically. Do a compression/leakdown test to determine the condition of the motor. If that goes well tow to the nearest tuner.

do you know what map sensor this "basemap" has selected?

do you have the same size injectors as this "basemap"?

if the answer is no to either of these questions, then its OBVIOUS why its running like ****.

every setup is different, every setup requires tuning even to get it to idle right. There are too many variables..

thanks for all the help guys. The basemap was tuned for my map and injector size along with the other mods. I did do a compression test 175 170 175 168. I have the hondata s300 all ready i should just go get it dyno tuned and see if it blows up>.
